The data cycle improves the decision making of the firm from information collected from different online marketing activities.
The four main stages of a data cycle are: Plan, Do, Check and act
Plan:
Let's take an example of a retail store in your neighborhood. They want to communicate their new door delivery facility to consumers.
The first step is set the goal. The retailer want at least 30℅of their existing customers to avail the benefit in the next one month.
The retailer would like to run social media campaign for the same.
Do:
The retailer runs social media campaign for a specified period say a week.
Check:
After the specified period, the retailer will asess whether he would be able to get 30℅ door delivery orders. They also check weather post on Facebook, Instagram, or Google got a better result. The social media sites those could not get the results needs to be reasessed.
Act:
In this stage, a retailer will understand shortcomings and run future campaigns with modifications. They may alter timing, content or offering.

1) Plan: The marriage hall owner or manger can set the goal of spreading about the hall availability and its features (food, garden open space area, stay, changing room, etc.) He can set a target of targeting people around that area of 3Km radius and introducing a value package for the customer and converting 20% of it’s customer should come through his social media presence.
2) Do: The manager runs the campaigns of social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Google.
3) Check: He then analysis various performance on each social media, which post are doing good/ trending and which aren’t on each platform. He can use social media analyzer or Google analytics to simplify data. He can also check each radius as in 1,2,3km each zone which is performing better or responding.
4) Act: At this stage, he uses the above data to alter its finding for improvement and may take decision on expanding the zone of reach, alter the content in terms of looks, timing, etc.

Plan - setting a marketing strategy is a must , for first set a goal. Make your wedding hall set out of competitiors. Make a good logo and a responsive website. And put good keywords in the website.
Do - make the booking process easier on the internet. Show the speciality and give some discounts for the first orders and reference. Upload on different portals , like Justdial etc..., Write good content on youtube(use testimonials) , Facebook, Instagram. Do Google analytics. Send emails . Make promotional videos for Facebook , Instagram, youtube. Hire influencers.
Check - check if it's getting a good response. Get feedbacks from existing clients. Monitor keywords. Keep the clients engaged.

They will then plan what content will they add in their digital campaign and how will they make the digital campaign eg: what's app videos, Facebook ads, templates, newspaper articles etc
2. DO:
In the second step, they will run the marketing campaign for about a month or more depending upon the type of campaign they are doing.
3. Check:
After a specific period, the digital marketing team will assess whether they were able to target atleast 40% of the target customers. They will also check whether their post on social media such as Facebook twitter, instagram, google search got a better result. The social media sites they could not get the result need to he assessed.
4. Act:
In this stage, the digital marketing team of the marriage hall will understand the shortcomings of the advertisement and make slight modification in it by considering the results.
