1) An agile supply chain is focused on speed, cost, efficiency, responsiveness and flexibility in the delivery of goods.
2) The fundamental of agile supply chain are speed, cost and efficiency.
It works on real time data rather than previous data collected in the case of lean supply chain.
3) Constituents of Agile supply chain are:
A) Get real-time data from distributors, suppliers or retailers.
B) In times of COVID – 19, the companies should focus on its core competencies that is delivering the inventory rather than selling the products.
C) Should be flexible to change.
4) In time of COVID-19, agile supply chain is the key to proper management and flow of inventory. It is the need of the hour for the market. Super markets/ hyper markets like D-mart has been able to work on their supply chain model very efficiently. They use real time data to upgrade their requirement and route management for decreasing the time gap.

1.The agile supply chain basically refers to the use of responsiveness, competency, flexibility, and quickness to manage how well a supply chain entity operates on a daily basis.
2.Demand Management and Forecasting.
End-to-end Collaboration
Responsive Systems and Analytics.
Resilience and Risk Management.
Design for Agility.
Process ownership
3. Alertness
The first dimension of agility is alertness, defined as the ability to quickly detect changes, opportunities, and threats.

Both sports and military science consider alertness as a key agility component
Accessibility
Working closely with alertness is the second dimension, accessibility. Accessibility is the ability to quickly access relevant data.
Decisiveness
Sports science and military science research suggest that agility is dependent upon decisiveness, or the ability to make decisions resolutely using the available information
Flexibility
Flexibility is the final dimension of agility. Within a supply chain context, flexibility can be described as a company's ability to modify its range of tactics and operations to the extent needed to implement its strategy.

3Technologies: A key component of an agile supply chain is visibility. Companies and employees must be able to quickly react and change course based on real-time data. To do this, of course, the right technologies are needed to track and display critical data points.

Empowerment Culture: As good as real-time data may be, it is useless if the company culture is very rigid and employees are not empowered to make decisions. To have an agile supply chain, companies must have a flat hierarchy where employees always feel empowered to make critical decisions without excessive oversight. Additionally, there must always be a culture of continuous improvement internally.

Customer-Centricity and Flexibility: From a greater business aspect, companies must listen to their customers and tailor their business to their customers' needs. From the aspect of the supply chain, the supply chain must be able to easily accommodate customers' changing needs quickly and flexibly.

Partner Relationships
relationships with all partners and suppliers must be extremely close. The partners and suppliers will grow as you grow, and the closer and more collaborative that they are worked with, the better work and adaptiveness they will offer.

Agility - in context of supply chain it means how quickly the supply chain networks of the firms can respond to changing needs or demands in market.

Fundamentals of agility -
*Speed of responsivness - how quickly they can satisfy customers
*COST -
Cost effectuve to company as well as the customers
*EFFICIENCY

Constituents of agile supply chain -

Collection of real time data
Managemnet of inventory
Core competency

Need of agile supply chain in COVID 19days
Agile suply xhain is very important in these days especiallu of FMCG profucts or basic necessaties since the customer cannot step out of home it is the firms who has to ensure that they need to respond to customer needs quickly.
In case if firm does not focus in agile suplly chain there are chances of customer switching thier products based on availability in market as now customers are not concerned about the type of product but more about the product is available or not .
Even firms face a lot of challenges in this case about transportation and cost of transporting during these days but they also cannot deny the fact of achieving high responsiveness as well.

1. Supply chain aligity represents how fast a supply chain responds to the changes in the environment, customers preference and competitive forces .It is an Readiness to change
Ex : All FMCG companies are Struggling to manage their supply chain.

2. Fundamentals of supply chain aligity:
* speed : at which you deliver the product.

* Cost : you cannot increase the cost of distribution issues.

* Efficiency : product has to reach on time of any other outlets .

3.constistuents of alige :
* Virtual integration : Collecting highertime data from the supplier/ retailers market will get end to end information in the supply chain.

* Align our processes: we need to manage our inventory along with suppliers. This is known as co managed inventory.

* Alige supply chain are network based : we need to focus on our core competencies.
Ex: Dmart has experience companies to sell the products during lockdown of covid-19 and also ensures the stock reaches to the distributor or retailers.

4. In this covid-19 situation it is important to follow the agility supply chain it focus on speed of delivery of goods to reach the customers. The product demanded by the consumers through apps and fulfill these demand within specified time .

4.it made sense to think of supply chain resilience. resilience for global value chains under threat and the five supply chain resilience levers companies should put in place.

Some companies will already have integrated these learnings while others, in the interests of costs, and at the sacrifice of agility and resilience, have been relentlessly consolidating production and extending sourcing.
On the production side, the successful replenishment is the result of maximizing production with all spare capacity in use. Since food supply chains are usually finely tuned for steady demands, the full pipeline has likely not yet been restored.

1) Agility represents how fast a supply chain responds to the changes in environment, customer preferences, competitive forces etc. It doesn't talk about random variations in executing day-to-day supply chain operations.
When the COVID-19 outbreak evolved into a pandemic, companies took drastic measures to protect employees on very short notice. Provided that most businesses take a long time to make a decision and then act on it, this was a desperate call for greater agility on very short notice. in three areas: employee needs, customer expectations, and economic uncertainty.

2)Alertness
Accessibility
Swiftness
Flexibility

3). Collection of real time data so market will get end to end information
• Managment of inventory
• Focus on core competency
• To keep a tab on Trend and get feedback

4) Covid-19 pandemic has upended the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) market, prompting firms to redraw business strategies. Godrej Consumer Products they are trying to be as agile as possible and are adapting to the evolving situation. Both distribution and production have been significantly disrupted over the last couple of weeks, and operations have been curtailed.

1 Agile supply chain is readyness to change which work on real time data. It is a system of product distribution that is considered with doing things quickly, saving cost, being responsive to the market and consumer demands, maintaining flexibility and keeping productivity.

2 Agile supply chain works on 3 fundamentals
a. Speed: supply the product in high speed comparing to their competitors.

b. Cost: the products should be cost competitive.

c. Efficiency: products should be supplied to right person in a right time.

3. It also has 4 important constituencies

a. Virtual Integration: it collects the data from all the suppliers which gives end to end information.

b. Align the process: They should align the process in the supply chain.

c. Network Based: Maintain the huge network ease the supply chain and also retain the customer in uncertainties.

d. Identify the trend: Always the trend keeps changing so need to upgrade the supply chain depending upon the change demanded by the customer.

4. During this period of lockdown Agile supply chain plays an very important role as it works on real time data and it is always readyness to change it can adopt the advance steps to maintain the supply chain to reach the products to the customers. As Dmart follows the agile supply chain method, they started to supply the goods the consumers doorstep due to the this lockdown, so that supply chain would be dynamic and meets the demand of customers.

1: Supply Chain Agility represents how fast a supply chain responds to the changes in environment, customer preferences, competitive forces etc. ... It is a measure of how companies adapt their supply chain to these changes and then how fast it is able to achieve it

2: With an agile supply chain, vendors are able to respond to shifts in customer needs with relatively little time required. For example, if a client has already placed a sizable order but finds that the items are needed a week before the projected delivery date, a vendor with a truly agile supply chain will be able to accommodate that change in the customer’s circumstances, at least in part. Working together, the vendor and the customer develop a strategy to allow the delivery of as much of the order as possible within the new time frame required. At times, this may require creative thinking on the part of the vendor, as well as the demonstration in some flexibility in terms of scheduling production time, selecting shippers, and generally looking closely at each step in the order fulfillment process to find ways to minimize the time needed to successfully complete those tasks and comply with the customer’s request.

It is important to note that while an agile supply chain is a very attractive feature, attempting to be too flexible can actually damage a business. For this reason, many companies do initiate policies and procedures designed to prevent situations that could endanger the overall operation and its relationship with the entire client base.

3: Alertness
Flexibility
Accessibility
Decidivness
Swiftness

4: agile supply chain in this covid pandamic is very essential because people need daily buying products like milk n vegetable so the production of these products should be in huge quantity to serve better to public

Since market and demand patterns are changing on a very rapid pace, than the ultimate strategy would be to opt for agile supply chain management. Through this strategy one can retain the market and also compete with the market.

1. Agile supply chain refers to the the use of responsiveness competency flexibility and quickness to make the supply chain operations more focused and quick on daily basis
Agile supply chain works on real time basis .

2. The agile supply chilling is based on sensitivity of customer demand and so the fundamentals of agile supply chain also focuses on customer demand they are -
Speed
Cost
Efficiency

3. The constituents of supply chain are are the 5 dimensions of agile supply chain they are as follows
1 ALERTNESS or SENSITIVITY
2 ACCESSIBILITY
3 VIRTUAL REALITY
4.FOCUSING ON CORE COMPETENCIES
5.FLEXIBILITY

4.Need of agil supply chain in COWID 19
In today's situation the demand is high as we all are lockdown in our houses for many days.
In this situation we are seeing most of the companies have enhanced their supply chain and helped the people in different ways, also the vendors or the vegetable sellers who are selling their vegetables by coming next to our houses.

Ans 1. Agility in reference to supply chain - represents how fast a supply chain responds to the changes in environment, customer preferences, competitive forces etc. ... It is a measure of how companies adapt their supply chain to these changes and then how fast it is able to achieve it.

And 2. Fundamentals drivers of Agile supply chain are:-
*Speed - means how quickly companies adjust to the present situation and act upon it and grab market attention.
*Cost - All the FMCG's need to maintain marketable prices if not the customer switch over to new avail goods.
*Efficiency - this speaks about how fast the goods reach to stores or end users where as to out of stock does not occur.

Ans 3. The Constituents of agile Supply chain are:-

A) VIRTUAL INTEGRATION:
virtual integration information is shared among concerned departments for the real demand from market or end consumers. As demand information is gathered than it is collaborative planning among the various concerned departments.

B) Process Alignment:
In process alignment, three things are mainly concerned, that are Co-managed inventory, in present time mostly chains are managed through the VMI (vendor managed inventory) this is one of the best solution, as a co-managed inventory. Collaborative product design by the concerned departments, this is how the team works to shape the consumer need or want. The ultimate result is synchronous supply chain.

C)Network Based:
With Real Time data, Every individual participant in the chain has to put their efforts to make the success of the chain to make availablity of goods to end-users in this volatile market & pandemic situation.
Ex:
*D-Mart adopting delivery system.
* HUL is dealing with third party supply chains

D) Market sensitive:
Today’s chains are market sensitive where demand is sensed from the market. The demand forecasting is based on the daily Point of Sale (P.O.S), sensing demand from past trends is an obsolete way to predict the demand in such a volatile markets.

Ans 4. Need of agile supply chain in the covid19 corona virus days:-

India’s dependence on blue-collar workers to transport goods, and a lack of nationwide data on real-time consumption. Here agile supply chain where demand and supply are matched based on what is being pushed into trade (wholesale and retail) rather than estimating consumer demand will create shortages of essential food items.
For distribution need to have a proper way of routes to deliver goods.

Customer-Centricity and Flexibility: From a greater business aspect, companies must listen to their customers and tailor their business to their customers' needs. From the aspect of the supply chain, the supply chain must be able to easily accommodate customers' changing needs quickly and flexibly.

4) Excess inventory and potential shortages are eliminated by using this strategy. Agile supply chains are best at, getting more accurate and up to date demand. Since market and demand patterns are changing on a very rapid pace, than the ultimate strategy would be to opt for agile supply chain management.

Agility means readyness to change.Agile supply chain focuses on giving customers exactly what they want
This is highly dependent on not only the manufacturer, but also its suppliers being just as flexible. Manufacturers will need precise components at the right time and delivered in the right order.

Fundamentals og agility
Speed
Cost
Efficiency

Constituents of agile supply chain
1.Virtual Integration: in virtual integration information is shared among concerned departments for the real demand from market or end consumers.
2.Process Alignment: In process
3.Network Based: Every individual in the supply chain has to put their efforts to make it the success of the chain. This will reduce the burden on individual actors and the task is divided among the employees as per their core competencies where they are best at.
4.Market Sensitive: Today’s chains are market sensitive where demand is sensed from the market. The demand forecasting is based on the daily Point of Sale . Therefore, daily feedback from market or sales terminal feedback is taken to meet the future demand. supply chain is based on the end consumer’s feedback.

During Corina virus lockdown companies need to identify the demand for the products and get the feedback from retailers and suppliers on hourly basis

1 AGILITY
Agility is nothing but ,always readiness to changes, it involve quick supply chain respond to customer to fulfill their needs and how commit changes for improvement . For example :- a supply chain of flipkart and Amazon they are now distributing or delivering masks , suits, medicines and procurement items for people as well as in hospitals to secure people from covid 19.

2. List fundamentals of agility ?
There are three important fundamentals of agility

1. speed ( it is all about how fast you deliver the product)

2. Cost ( it's all about competation if you are delivering the product at night cost then someone else will give at low price )

3. Efficiency ( it's all about how you are efficient on you delivery cost and how much you are charging for delivering the product like for example :- if flip kart is delivering 3 products in one hour and Amazon is delivering 5 products in 50 minute then Amazon is more efficient than flip kart.

3. explain constituents of agile supply chain.
• Virtual integration
It is all about to collecting real time data from distributor about customer
• Process alignment
Inventory will be aligned as per retails demand .
• Focus on core competency
Competency is all about uniqueness in what company does like for example flipkart started E cart supply chain because speed and efficiency so this will be their core competency towards the computation

4 . NEED OF AGILE SUPPLY CHAIN IN THE COVIDE 19 VIRUS DAYS .
If any company has agile supply chain and they are not used for single time then this is right time to come with agile supply chain because nowadays every where is locking down because of corona virus and so reliance fresh ,d mart , as well as any medical company can use this , because now days people lacking behind for not getting any fresh grocery and proper medicines (out of stocks ) so agile supply chain can giving the boost to the supply factor .and this will help to all people and company also

1. The agile supply chain basically refers to the use of responsiveness, competency, flexibility, and quickness to manage how well a supply chain entity operates on a daily basis.

2. The fundamentals of agility are
*. Alertness
The first dimension of agility is alertness, defined as the ability to quickly detect changes, opportunities, and threats.
*. Accessibility
Accessibility is the ability to quickly access relevant data.
*. Decisiveness
Sports science and military science research suggest that agility is dependent upon decisiveness, or the ability to make decisions resolutely using the available information.
*. Swiftness
Once a decision has been made about how to respond to changes, agility is dependent on a company's swiftness, or the ability to implement decisions quickly.
*. Flexibility
Flexibility is the final dimension of agility. Within a supply chain context, flexibility can be described as a company's ability to modify its range of tactics and operations to the extent needed to implement its strategy.

3. Technologies: A key component of an agile supply chain is visibility. Companies and employees must be able to quickly react and change course based on real-time data.

Empowerment/Culture: As good as real-time data may be, it is useless if the company culture is very rigid and employees are not empowered to make decisions. To have an agile supply chain, companies must have a flat hierarchy where employees always feel empowered to make critical decisions without excessive oversight.

Customer-Centricity and Flexibility:
From a greater business aspect, companies must listen to their customers and tailor their business to their customers' needs. From the aspect of the supply chain, the supply chain must be able to easily accommodate customers' changing needs quickly and flexibly.

Partner Relationships: To maintain an agile supply chain, the relationships with all partners and suppliers must be extremely close.

4. The needs of agile in supply chain
* Supply chain from third party to reach the product on time to the customers demand for the product
* FMCG manufacturer’s can collect real time data of products demanded by consumers through apps & help fulfill these demands within specific time period.

1. Agility (or the ability to move quickly and easily) is a desirable trait in almost any situation ― particularly as it relates to the supply chain. As its name implies, the role of a supply chain is to not only insure that the enterprise has the proper raw material supplies to produce the final product, but in a broader sense to insure that the enterprise is nimble enough to meet customer demands in a profitable way. It is a philosophically simple concept, but difficult to execute on a consistent basis.

2. *Leveraging Technology to Meet Customer Expectations*

Managing inventory to Met customers’ growing and changing demands requires agility and transparency throughout the supply chain.

*Another key aspect to ensure supply chain agility is leveraging business integration technologies*

supply chain agility is leveraging business integration technologies
such as electronic data interchange (EDI) and web service API-based interfaces. These technologies streamline communication among trading partners – retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and distributors – enabling them to share information on orders, forecasts, point of sale (POS) data, shipment tracking and inventory in real time.

*ERP plays a major role in agility*

providing a single, holistic view of all inventory. ERP enables brands to analyze inventory availability and supply chain operations and make adjustments quickly and accurately to ensure products are delivered accurately through the right channels, and on time.

*Others*

With fast-paced, changing consumer demands, agility within the apparel, consumer goods and retail sectors is imperative.

3. The key concepts to an agile supply chain, and agile business, as well, are: Technologies, Empowerment/Culture, Customer-Centricity/Flexibility and Partner Relationships.

Technologies: A key component of an agile supply chain is visibility. Companies and employees must be able to quickly react and change course based on real-time data. To do this, of course, the right technologies are needed to track and display critical data points.

Empowerment/Culture: As good as real-time data may be, it is useless if the company culture is very rigid and employees are not empowered to make decisions. To have an agile supply chain, companies must have a flat hierarchy where employees always feel empowered to make critical decisions without excessive oversight.

Partner Relationships: Whether any supply chain activities are outsourced or everything is in-house, there will always be partnerships and suppliers to work with. To maintain an agile supply chain, the relationships with all partners and suppliers must be extremely close. The partners and suppliers will grow as you grow, and the closer and more collaborative that they are worked with, the better work and adaptiveness they will offer.

4.Ans 4. Need of agile supply chain in the covid19 corona virus days:-

Ans 1) Supply Chain Agility represents how fast a supply chain responds to the changes in environment, customer preferences, competitive forces etc. It doesn’t talk about random variations in executing day-to-day supply chain operations.

Ans 2.The Fundamentals of Agile Supply chain are as follows:
▪︎Aletrness-Before a business can respond to changes in its environment, it must first identify those changes. Truly agile companies have developed a high level of alertness.
▪︎Accessibility:Agile companies have invested significant resources in improving data accessibility within their supply chains. For example, Procter and Gamble (P&G) and Wal-Mart have found a way to use information technology to share data. P&G uses the GT Nexus platform to achieve real-time visibility into inventory flows across its global supply chain
▪︎DecIsivness:the business realm it is not enough for companies to be able to quickly detect changes (alertness) and access relevant information (accessibility) within their supply chains. They also need to foster the ability to make resolute decisions on how to respond to changes (decisiveness)
▪︎Swiftness:If a company detects a change in its environment, accesses relevant data, and makes a resolute decision on how to act, but it does not have the ability to quickly implement the decision that has been made, then the agility cycle breaks.
▪︎Flexiblity:how Apple's supply chain agility allowed it to redesign the iPhone just weeks before the device was scheduled to be released. A little over one month before the iPhone was due on store shelves, Steve Jobs demanded that it include a new screen made of unscratchable glass

Ans 3)1.Market sensitive
Being market sensitive means that the company should be able to read and understand the demand in the market as well as being able to respond to it. Many organisations use forecasting to respond to the market demand.
2.Virtual supply chain
The traditional logistic systems are seeking to identify the right quantity and the right place to store them through the supply chain
3.Process ingeneration
Having access to the same information cannot be fully achieved without an integrated process and relationship between suppliers and buyers.
4.Network
It can be argued that today the competition is no longer among organisations, but between the supply chains instead

Ans 4) This Time Of Global Pandemic We see Many Stores Are Adapting To Agile Supply Chain tough there are many issues in FMCG products and other various industries that have a greater impact in meeting the demand Adopting Alige supply chain will help the stores like supermarkets hypermarkets to meet the customer needs also Giverment has set up various stores for Groceries also DMart ,Big Bazar are trying to attain the supply of products at a prescribed time.

1. Supply Chain Agility represents how fast a supply chain responds to the changes in environment, customer preferences, competitive forces etc. It doesn't talk about random variations in executing day-to-day supply chain operations. It rather  specifies how a company's supply chain responds to changes,  once business is aware of external changes which can negatively/positively affect the business in achieving its objectives. It is a measure of how companies adapt their supply chain to these changes and then how fast it is able to achieve it.

Supply Chain Agility comes with a cost and sometimes that cost might be huge enough to turn down the profitability. Companies have to decide how much agile the business has to be and where in the value chain they need agility and whether it  fits in well with overall strategy of the company.

Sensing the change much in advance gives lot of room for companies  to respond to changes in business environment. That said leveraging this knowledge to proactively respond  to the change with the right velocity, differentiates winners from laggards.

Companies aspiring to be Agile should build flexible organization and design flexible processes. Organizational structure should encourage co-ordination among various departments/units within the same organization as well as partners (Vendors, Logistics Partners etc.).

Setting target for lead times and then working towards reducing those lead times specially "Order to Fulfillment" lead time would greatly help organizations achieve the velocity that is needed to be Agile in today's competitive and changing business environment. Velocity, in how information progresses across the supply chain and how fast the physical product moves down the supply chain, is a critical factor in being a leader among the pack.

Thus Advanced Sensing, Flexibility, Coordination and Velocity are four pillars for achieving an Agile Supply Chain.

"Advanced Sensing + Flexibility + Co-ordination + Velocity = Agility"

2. Fundamentals of agility

• Attain customer satisfaction through continuous delivery of software
• Don’t be afraid to make changes
• Deliver working software, with a preference to the shorter timescale
• Developers and management must work together
• Build projects around motivated individuals
• Face-to-face interactions are the most efficient & effective modes of communication
• Working software is the primary measure of progress
• Agile processes promote sustainable development
• Continuous attention to technical excellence and good design enhances agility
• Simplicity is essential
• The best architectures, requirements, and designs emerge from self-organizing teams
• Inspect & Adapt

3. Constituents of agile supply chain

Technologies

Empowerment/Culture

Partner relationships

4. Need of agile supply chain during covid 19 pandemic

According to me the agile supply chain management of every sector and company helps the citizens of that respective country in a positive and safer way when it comes to a pandemic like covid19.
Just like how every schools , hospitals, companies have a proper plan for escaping emergencies like fire, earthquakes and floods, similarly...they must also be ready to face pandemics.
Having An agile supply chain doesn't just mean to deliver ur products in low cost in any situation safely... but it also must ensure the safety of the employees or workers who deliver it ...
As a suggestion I'd like to say Since this pandemic is all about avoiding any physical contact with covid carriers... all the companies must provide drones for delivery of items to doorstep so tht there is reduced chance of cming in contact with many people.

Many companies, especially the grocery stores have adapted to this system with quiet a few safety measures , this allows the large population to stay at home and avail their groceries at their doorstep without causing or being harmed by the virus.
